LED Drivers for Outdoor LED Lighting
What is the driver brand name used in your factory, is it good enough?
In our factory, we only use Meanwell and MOSO driver, for high quality. These two brands enjoy high reputation in the LED lighting industry, high quality, stable performance, leading brand on the LED driver field.
What is your cables material and do you have any certifications for it?
Normally we are using PVC and rubber material cables, with advantages of anti-UV, aging resist, high temperature resist, insulated and anti-flammable.
All our cables enjoy UL, VDE, CCC, CE, ROHS.,etc certifications.
Do you have any certifications for your LED drivers, and how many year warranty are they?
At present our drivers have CQC, CE, UL, CB, CUS, PFC, TUV, PSE, certifications. Meanwell HLG LED drivers enjoy 7 year warranty, and MOSO have 5 year warranty, surge protection 10KV, can be used in some tropical area with lots of lightening.
What’s the relation between luminous flux and color temperature and color rending index?
Normally, high color temperature(>4500K), it is more easy to make it high luminous flux. Lower color temperature(<4500K), luminous flux will be lower. At the same time, higher color rending index, the less luminous flux it will be. So some factory will make low CRI, in order to achieve high luminous flux, it is a wrong way to work.
Do you don LED chips encapsulation yourself?
At present, we don’t encapsulate LED chips by ourselves, but our LED chips suppliers are also supplier for Sharp, Knoka, Sony, etc.
For LED street light, do you have any phase dimmable function?
In order to save more power, not only our LED street light, LED flood light, LED tunnel light.,etc are have dimmable function. It works in this way: if light up 10hrs per day, the first 5 hours full power running, the rest 5 hours automatically turn to 50%-80% power running, to save about half power, because at that time there are not so many cars, pedestrian on the road.
Another way is remote control, by zigbee or Dali system, this require LED street light need a dimmable driver, and there must be a controller on the lamp. The lighting way can be settled very easily by computer or mobile phone app, each LED street light can be controlled, when to on/off, when need half power, when need full power,etc, all can be controlled easily. Other dimmable way are 0-10VDC, PMW signal, intelligent control system.,etc. According to different street, road, different traffic, the lighting way will be different, to save more power.
Does your driver have safety certifications and EMC certifications, and do you have 3rd party test report?
Yes, all our driver have safety certifications and EMC complied, with 3rd party test report. We only work with the leading brand in the LED lighting industry.
How about the driver power efficiency?
Under normal working condition, our LED lighting products driver efficiency is 90-92%, with PFC function, PF>0.97, constant current precision is ±5%
What kind of protection do you have for your LED drivers? Does it resist surge?
Our LED drivers have short circuit protection, over temperature protection, over voltage, over electricity protection, over surge protection, the surge protection is wire-wire:2kv, wire-ground 4KV. An extra surge protection can be added on LED street light, surge protection 10KV-20kv. Endure high voltage I/P-O/P:3.75KVAC, I/P-F/G:2KVAC, O/P-FG:0.5KVAC
One common knowledge for LED drivers: The LED drivers can not be worked under long time super low voltage environment, or it will be damaged very easily.
What is the material for your LED drivers, is there any surface treatment for it?
Our LED driver cover is made from aluminum alloy, the surface of it was sand-spray, oxidation treatment, suitable for outdoor environment, endure corrosion.
What is the usual input voltage for your LED drivers?
The input voltage is always 85-265V, 50/60HZ, LED lighting products can work normally within this environment. It can also endure instant high voltage at 305V without any damage, or work under 80V in short time without damage, but can not work long time under 80V. The output is always 28-36V.
What is your LED drivers IP rating?
All our products IP rating is IP65 or IP67.
What is your LED drivers lifespan?
Under normal use condition, our LED drivers can work at least 50,000hrs.
